Governance

The Radiation Protection Council is the UK’s registration authority for the radiation protection profession.  It is responsible to The Society for Radiological Protection (SRP), as Licensor, for the creation and maintenance of the Registers of Chartered, Incorporated and Technical Radiation Protection Professionals for the public benefit. The Radiation Protection Council exercises delegated authority from the Licensor to manage the necessary arrangements for operation of the Registers.

The Council is comprised of a lay Chair, Deputy Chair and Licensor and Licensee representatives.
